On the Job Learning
At MPCPED Medical Assistant School, we use the NHA Medical Assistant CCMA study guide as our textbook resource and provide this required reading at no additional cost to our students! We prepare our students to be ready for their externship at week 14. All MPCPED students must complete their 80-hour externship at a local medical practice to receive their certificate of completion. Students will have the option of selecting an office to extern at or being placed at a local medical practice to complete the externship.

What Do I Get After Graduation?
You will be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) upon completion of the course and passing the national exam, which is through National Healthcareer Association (NHA). You will be able to practice as a CCMA anywhere in the United States with this certification!
Ready to get started? We’re here to ensure you have all the proper resources and requirements prior to enrollment, so you feel prepared to jump into your new career with confidence! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Proof of high school completion.
We can accept a U.S. high school diploma or GED, or U.S. college transcript with your high school graduation date.
- U.S. government-issued photo ID.
You must be at least 17 years old. If you’re under 18, we will require written permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to enroll.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship.
This can be your Social Security Number, or a TIN with a valid work permit.
